Accomodation

We are getting married just outside of Paris, the civil ceremony is taking place North-West of Paris, and the reception in the South-West. As we're a bit sprawled across Paris, we haven’t reserved any hotels. If you do have any questions about accommodation please don't hesitate to contact us.

Recommendations: We highly recommend booking an apartment for your stay somewhere in Paris, for example through airbnb.com.
If you want to stay in Paris, we suggest the 1st-6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 14th for proximity to tourist destinations and 'parisianess'. Special mentions for Canal St Martin, St Germain des Près and the Marais.

If you would like to stay near the reception hall, we suggest booking somewhere in Boulogne, Issy les Moulineaux, or the 16th, 15th, 14th districts (arrondissement) of Paris. The closest hotel to the reception hall (10-15 minute walk) is the Novotel Pont de Sèvres .

We recommend booking as soon as possible, as Paris is busy in early September.

About Us

Thomas

Thomas was born in Nantes, a town on the west coast of France, near or within the region of Brittany, depending on whom you ask. After a couple of degrees in his pocket and unable to find a job as a LEGO builder, he decided to go work in Paris. It was after a few years (4 to be exact) that he finally decided to look up from his computer and noticed Elizabeth. Since then, he has of course put his nose back into his computer, but still a bit less than before.

You have probably understood by now that his passions revolve around computers and games. Unaccustomed to preparing elaborate meals, Thomas prefers a few slices of brioche accompanied by Milka chocolate, and washed down with a glass of Orangina; until recently, these items are what he considered a balanced diet. All of this recently changed, and now a whole world of flavor is open to him, the good and the bad.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth, half Australian half Singaporean and born in Vancouver, moved to Montreal, then to Brisbane, then back to Montreal and eventually made her way to Paris. She speaks English, is still unsure whether most objects are male or female in French, and has done 4+ years of introductory classes but still can’t ask where the toilets are in Chinese.

Elizabeth went on to complete a business degree in international negotiation; she used her newfound skills to convince Thomas to go out with her and to convince him to start eating vegetables (We will let you guess which was the harder negotiation).

Registry

Thomas and I have setup our apartment over the past year and there are very few things we need. If you do want to give us a little gift there will be a box present at the ceremony for our honeymoon/future plans/(dog if Thomas has his way) and we’ve also registered at the department store Printemps as well as created an online fund.
